Claro Walnut (Juglans californica)

The Claro we now have in stock is some of the most unusual and colorful we have ever seen. In addition a lot of the sets are figured and have a beautiful array of colors.  Some have some lovely magenta colors striped through it and most have the beautiful white to cream-ish colored sap wood that is very dense and stable. Pictured below are just a few of the sets we have available.

Myrtle (Umbellularia californica)

The Myrtle we now have available is also some of the most beautiful and unusual we have ever seen. It, too, has some lovely coloring and most sets have some very unusual chocolate brown sap wood that is very interesting along with some beautiful flame figure. A few of the sets also have a gorgeous purple stripe running through it.  We have quite a few sets. Each set individually priced. These pictured below are just a few of what is available.

Stainless Steel Wide Crown Fretwire

Stainless Steel Fretwire - Wide Crown: $13.00

Stainless Steel Wide Crown:

This fretwire is 60" long, wide crown, typically used for Martin type steel-stringed guitars and electric guitars. It is made from Stainless-Steel (very hard). This is enough to fret one guitar.

We sell this in five pieces, 12" long, pre-curved to approximately 9" radius so it's ready to press into .023" fret slots. (having more curve than the fingerboard helps to hold the fret ends down better)

If you've never played on Stainless frets before, get ready for a great experience! A little more difficult to work with than nickel-silver but well worth the extra effort. Color is actually silver.
